Apr 21, 2013 - Mountain Lion 10.8.3 already has native write support for the NTFS. OSX Mountain Lion does have built-in support for NTFS, and it can read. Mac OS X has always been able to read NTFS drives, but tucked away in Mac OS X is a hidden option to enable write support to drives formatted as NTFS (NTFS stands for New Technology File System and is a proprietary file system format for Microsoft Windows).
Mac OS X Applications tested Paragon NTFS for Mac 9 on Mac OS X Lion 10.7 and it is good to go for NTFS support in Mac OS X Lion and recommended. We have not tested as benchmark yet, but it is flawless as in 10.6 Snow Leopard and 10.5 Leopard in Mac OS X.
Mac OS X provides only read support for NTFS. You cannot create, delete or modify files or folders on NTFS partitions, but only read them.
